Who is the Bridging Program for?

What equipment is needed?
Proper equipment is essential to success! Please ensure that your skater is dressed properly for skating. Avoid clothing that has anything dangling that could get caught on other skaters, stuck under skates or fall off. All skaters must wear a CSA approved helmet until they complete Stage 5. Having properly fitting skates are the most important piece of equipment, they should be snug but not too tight and blades should be sharpened once a month or 2 months if they aren't used often.

How often do Bridging skaters skate?
Bridging is 2 sessions per week and an optional third day is available which will have an additional cost of lessons. Skaters will be at the rink for a total of 2 hours; 45 mins on STAR sessions, 45 mins on CanSkate and two 15 minute breaks. Regular attendance helps skaters develop balance, coordination, and confidence on the ice.
